The Essence
Knickers 'n Lace is a high end boutique lingerie store located in Calgary, Alberta. In Ashley Johnstone's words "We inspire women to feel more confident about themselves and in their intimate relationships."

Knickers 'n Lace came to us looking to create an online presence to expand the awareness and educational components of their exceptional product and service offering. This would allow their loyal clientele's natural word of mouth marketing to expand their brand awareness and tap into new markets.

Our goal was to create an online experience that empowered the clients to create more loving and intimate relationships in their lives through working with Ashley and her staff.
The Process

The Process We began by spending time with Ashley and Rona Johnstone (the proprietors) getting to know them. We spent time in their store watching them interact with clients. We observed that they made each client feel like a million bucks as they walked out the store with a grin from ear to ear with their attention to customer service and detail.

We worked closely with Ashley to capture their key goals for the site. The creative process involved Ashley to help our creative team with guideposts. This iterative process developed a site that captured the essence of the KnL experience; sexy, sultry, seductive, yet professional and tasteful – something that their high end clients demand.

The Technology
The core KnL site is based on Flash 8 which allows the site to have many subtle effects and touches that capture the essence of KnL. For online clients that do not have Flash, a HTML site was developed. The technology allowed us to create a smooth online experience that is similar to what you would feel going into the store.

The platform was developed with the foundations in place to add future eCommerce
functionality as well as integrated online marketing initiatives.

As KnL continues to evolve, their site will have the technological ability to evolve with them in a seamless manner. Crevople is very excited about the ongoing opportunity to work with KnL to help them achieve this goal.

The Results
When we finally nailed down the final design, Ashley's lit up and said "That's it. That's us. I love it." We believe "like attracts like" so if Ashley loves it, we think KnL's clients will love it as well.

KnL has just launched their site and the feedback so far has been excellent. KnL has begun to leverage their traditional media marketing channels to include their online presence.

The educational pieces are empowering women (and men!) to learn more about lingerie garments and fitting – making them aware of the history and process' that KnL uses working to outfit their clients. This inspires more confidence in their female clients and bridges the gap for their male clients that may be a little on the shy side! This is a recipe for more loving relationships. Now who wouldn't want more love their life?
