Vtwitter Release v0.5 - http://www.vtwitter.com/

Known issues

This Zimlet has only been verified to work on Internet Explorer 6 and Firefox 1.5, many other browsers experience problems where the Referer header field is overwritten which results in a error from Twitter (Sorry, due to abusive behaviour, we have been forced to disable posting from external websites. If you are posting from an API tool, please ensure that the HTTP_REFERER header is not set.). We are working with Twitter to get around this problem.

Installation Instructions

Server

To install the Zimlet run zmzimletctl deploy <path-to com_vtwitter_vtwitter.zip> as the zimbra user.

Users

Each user can configure the Vtwitter Zimlet to be used with their own Twitter account. To configure the Vtwitter Zimlet right click on the "Vtwitter" text in the Zimlet. Then enter your Twitter username and password and click save.

To write tweets just click or double-click on the "Vtwitter" Zimlet, enter your tweet (text) and click OK. The message will then be sent to your twitter account. Remember that (at the time of writing) Twitter only allows messages of 140 characters.

If you can not see the Vtwitter Zimlet inside of Zimbra, please contact your email server administrator.
