Operations Update
In order to serve our customers better we are putting considerable effort into upgrading our infrastructure and processes.

In the Q2 2006 we had three major system and process upgrades.

1. Upgraded to dedicated bug and issue tracking system. This is a process and software upgrade for management, project managers and the project teams to manage tasks and track bugs and issues. In other words we want to make sure issues don't 'slip through the cracks'. It ensures better quality products and solutions and provides a better and more consistent platform for software and IT project success.

2. Code management and version control. We have moved over to a dedicated server to manage and control code for all our software and web projects. The developers use this on a daily basis as a code repository to control versions, be able to find and fix bugs and ensure accountability. The software is integrated with our issue tracking software and the combination is proving to be a powerful tool to be able to consistently deliver quality for our customers.

3. Server Virtualization. Basically, this enables us to make provisioning, management and maintenance of our servers and hardware for both our development, research department and our production operations. New Linux or Windows servers can now be launched in a matter of minutes when needed. It also ensures portability (servers are no longer tied to specific hardware), backup is simplified, applications can be isolated and server rack density has increased (more servers in less space). We have also built in redundancy to servers, critical applications and storage networks to ensure smooth operation and delivery of customer projects. We believe that this technology is now fully mature and ready for prime-time, many large corporations and datacenters are now relying on it already.
