Licensing depends on the solution that is implemented.
Commercial Software
CMS Software - You will pay for the CMS software purchase as well as yearly license costs. The source code of the software is rarely made available.
Your website implementation - This is the code and integration with CMS. If you hire us as a service (99% of the time this is the case) then the code is yours to keep.
VisionCMS
CMS Software - No software license costs. We will also give you the code if requested.
Your website implementation - Same as above. The code is yours to keep unless an arrangement is agreed beforehand.
